Summer-Spring Cohort of the Sista-Sista Bok Club

The Closeout session of the Summer-Spring Cohort of the Sista-Sista Bok Club by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung’s Feminism Lab programme was held on September 1^th, 2023.

The participants at the closeout session were treated to an inspiring chat with the outstanding Activist and Former Country Director of ActionAid Nigeria, Comrade Ene Obi.

This session served as a transgenerational exchange, where the newly inducted feminists learned from Comrade Ene’s real-life experiences, tagged feminism-centered activism, on how to sustain a career in activism and the role of mentorships in the feminist spaces.

This was followed by an extensive discussion on the importance of women-only spaces and the Sista-Sista Book Club’s journey.

The session closed with a final review of the month's book “Son of the House” by Cheluchi Onyemelukwe, and an Introduction to the Feminist of the Day, Comrade Ene Obi.
