Training of NLC Leadership on Climate Change

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung collaborates with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its affiliates by training their leadership on climate change with an intent to increase the knowledge and capacity of the labour leaders.

Government, Civil Society Organisations and the labour movement increasingly recognise the need to key into the global action to mitigate the effects of climate change and a just transition towards a more sustainable economy. Trade unions and workers need to understand how climate change is interwoven within the world of work and economic interests.

In order to ensure participation in critical discussions and to be able to proffer solutions to enhance positive actions against climate change, the leadership of the labour movement is being educated on climate change, its connected concepts and strategies of mitigation.
